1. ADIPURUSH:
Music Director: Ajay-Atul & Sachet- Parampara
Movie was criticized for its content. The only good thing about this movie is the songs. All the songs in this film are great to hear. Jai shree ram song became the song of the nation for some time. Album is a good hit in Telugu as well. They did not look like dubbed songs at any point.
2. ANIMAL:
Music Director: Various Artists
Seems like Sandeep Reddy Vanga has good taste in music. It was clear with his previous outings Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy. Songs in Animal are instant hits, they were not liked by many at the time of release. But after the release of movie, songs turned out to be huge hit. All the songs in Telugu version are great. The best among all “Evar evaroo” it was sung beautifully by vishal mishra nicely complemented by the lyrics of Ananth Sriram.
Because of songs composed by various music directors no one actually got their due credit. But the efforts are appreciable in giving us a beautiful album to us. Rest of the songs “ Ney verey” and “nanna na prema” are haunting. Specially the lyrics in “ Nanna Na Prenam” are touching. Kashmir song sung beautifully by Shreya ghosal with very less music in background another beautiful song. For me “ANIMAL” songs are best, can easily called as Album of the year.
3. JAILER:
Music Director: Anirudh Ravi Chander
Songs of the film received poor response initially, but it was after energetic performance from Anirudh had made this whole album huge hit. “HUKUM” song made all the music lovers crazy ruled all the playlists of music lovers. “Kavalayya” song is another best one from this movie.
4. PONNIYAN SELVAN:2
Music Director: A R Rehaman
While songs in the first part are not great but in the second part have great repeat value. Unfortunately, all the songs didn’t get enough credit but those are outstanding in terms of tunes. Those who did not listen to this album once, it will definitely give you great listening experiences. While “ Raja Veera Raja” is energetic, Minnanchula Vennela and Aganande are beautiful melodies.
5. VAARASUDU:
Music Director: Thaman
Not all the songs in this album are good, but Thaman has tried some different tunes for this film and those songs entertained the music lovers. “Ranjithame” and “ Chemiki Kannu” are top picks and the soul of vaarasudu is also good to listen. Rest of songs are good but regular tunes.
